The Book of Treasures
I'm so happy, because my partner received my "Book of Treasures" I made for her, and she LOVED it! Here's what she said about it on my ratings on swap-bot.com:
"I want to let you know that this is the most wonderful swap that I have EVER received. Ever. I have had ties for favorites up till now but this takes it all. This is the coolest thing I've ever received in the mail I think. It's so well put together. And you did it so fast! And you incorporated so much of my profile into it. And it's exactly what the swap called for plus like 100% more. It was so hard not to just rip that black rubber band off of it to get into the book (don't worry I carefully removed it). I'm actually hesitant to remove any of the treasures because I really want to put in like a museum or something. Seriously. Thank you. Thank you thank you!! I adore it."
Here's some photos of the various pages inside the book. I used an old children's book as the backing, and it was such a perfect book going through various seasons and it fit perfectly to the alterations I did for each page. We had to have a certain number of "treasures" in the book put into it in some way, I used envelopes, ribbon and other ways to put the treasures in. Some of the treasures I included were scrapbooking materials, a finished ATC, a dotee doll in a pop-out bag, a letter that opened up, postcards, a real vintage photograph, some flower photos I took, and a worry doll among other things.

Wow, that is just amazing! So beautiful and with a treasure on every page... I'm so jealous! Although I'd probably not participate in such a swap for fear of my efforts being pants. Yours is so lovely :)
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, Mia! I really lucked out having such a perfect book as the base, as looking at the pages helped me figure out what I wanted to do with them.
